You’re not late… you just don’t know how to make a decision.

Many girls feel they’re “behind the times.”

Behind in commitment.
Behind in modesty.
Behind in wearing the hijab.

But the slightly painful truth?

You’re not behind. You’re hurting.

You’re hurting from a long struggle between what you want and what society dictates.

A pain that can’t be seen.

A pain whose form isn’t clear.

The pain of:

Appearing strong

Appearing normal

And laughing

And at the same time feeling lost.

Every time you wear something and feel it doesn’t suit you, but you wear it to “get by.”

That’s pain.

The hijab isn’t a rosy dream.

Let’s be honest:

The hijab doesn’t always come with a beautiful feeling the first time.

Sometimes it comes with:

Fear

Hesitation

A feeling of loss

A lot of questions

And that’s normal.

The path isn’t black and white.

You’re not rejecting modesty. If you truly rejected modesty, you wouldn’t feel all this pain.

The pain is proof that something inside you is calling out.

The Islamic dress as a refuge

At a certain point, the Islamic dress isn’t a “goal”… it becomes a refuge.

A refuge from:

Comparison

Social media

Pressure

Attempts to please

Not an escape. A return.

A return to yourself.

Not everyone who wears the Islamic dress arrives in the same way.

Some arrive after hardship.

Some arrive after heartbreak.

Some arrive after a lot of confusion.

There’s no single version.

Role models don’t sell perfection.

At role models, we don’t sell an image of a “perfect” girl.

We address a real girl.

She makes mistakes.

She gets confused.

She searches.

And she tries.

In short

You’re not late.

Nor a failure.

Nor far away.

You’re on the right path.

And the path isn’t always beautiful, but its end is peace.

And if you need a place that understands you before judging you…

There’s a role model here 🤍
