When clothes became a lifeline
Farah was the girl who was always laughing, joking, and taking pictures everywhere.
But the camera didn’t reveal what was inside.
She would laugh… but she wasn’t comfortable.
She would wear everything new… but she always felt there was something missing.
Every time she stood in front of her closet, she would ask herself:
“Who am I dressing for? Am I comfortable? Or am I trying to please people?”
One day, she walked into university late for her first class.
A large, crowded hall, all the girls were shining…
But what caught her eye was a girl entering in Islamic, loose-fitting clothing.
She was calm, walking confidently, and smiling!
Farah didn’t know who she was, but she kept staring at her throughout the class.
In the end, she asked her:
“Where did you get these clothes from?”
The girl smiled and said:
“They’re from a brand called Aswa… I dress for myself, not for anyone else.”
These words kept ringing in her ears. That same night, Farah opened the page.
📦 She found a loose, elegant outfit that exuded a serenity not found in the market.
A long, flared skirt in royal Turkish fabric
A low-cut top with light elastic sleeves
An outfit that exuded femininity, sophistication, and modesty… without any complexity.
She ordered the first outfit, not knowing how she would feel.
When it arrived, Farah stood in front of the mirror, and for the first time, she truly smiled.
She felt like she was dressing herself… not other people.
The outfit made her feel safe,
not pressured, not imitated.
And the thing that made her happiest?
That she was getting to know herself again.
Now, Farah talks about Islamic dress in her stories,
sharing the journey with girls,
telling them:
“You don’t have to be perfect to dress Islamically,
but the outfit can help you achieve a serenity you’ve never felt before.”
