Nour…and it starts from the first shelf of the closet
Nour always loved organization. Everything in her room had a place, books were organized by color, and the world followed a strict system, as if she were running a miniature art gallery in her home. But what was strange? Amidst all this order, there was a corner that disturbed her peace: her closet.
Every time she opened it, she felt as if she were looking at someone else. So many clothes, so many colors, so many random styles… but nothing that “looked like her.”
There were things she bought because her friends told her they were “in style,” and things she bought for a specific occasion, or even to “look good at work.” But where was Nour? Not a single outfit that truly expressed her.
Until she decided to reorganize her life… starting with her closet.
She began asking herself:
“What clothes really look like me? What makes me feel comfortable and clear?”
Amid the sorting, she stopped in front of a simple black skirt. She wore it at a volunteer conference a long time ago, and she was confident, balanced, and loved herself. At that moment, she realized that clothing wasn’t just about style; it was about energy.
At that moment, she grabbed her mobile phone and typed on Instagram:
“Elegant, loose, and not traditional Islamic clothing.”
A name popped up: “Aswa.”
She logged into the page… and suddenly found herself smiling.
Calm models, soft colors, conservative yet modern styles.
Not clothes that hide her personality… These are clothes that clearly express her.
She ordered the first outfit: a skirt with two side slits, made of heavy, comfortable fabric, and a pair of pants with practical elasticated sleeves, in a matte beige color that went with everything.
And when she put it on?
She felt that her outward appearance finally resembled her inner self.
Nour didn’t change her entire life. She just changed her relationship with her clothes…
and she started dressing for herself, not to please people.
