Eid is not an outfit… Eid is a small test!

Everyone talks about Eid clothes, Eid outings, Eid meat…

But few take a step and think:

Is this Eid really meant to make me happy? Or is it meant to test me?

Yes, by God…

Eid, without us realizing it, reveals things within us.

  • It reveals your relationship with God:

Now that Ramadan is over… are you still praying on time?

Does your heart still beat when you hear “God is Great, God is Great, there is no god but God”?

  • It reveals your relationship with your family:

Do you ask about your relatives? Do you say “Happy New Year to you”?

Does Eid for you mean going out, taking selfies, and a story, and that’s it?

  • It reveals your relationship with yourself:

Do you rejoice in what is lawful?

Or do you still feel like you’re not “cool” enough unless you imitate those around you?

Do you choose your clothes because you’re comfortable in them? Or because people are… Does she like it?

Eid is a small test…

but it says a lot about us.

🎈 Think about living the next Eid differently:

Layout your prayer rug and pray two rak’ahs before you go out.

Send a message to your sister you’re fighting with.

Be mindful of your clothing… not for other people, but for God.

And believe me…

The joy you’ll experience then will be cleaner and sweeter than any new outfit.

Every Eid, may you be more mature… and closer ♥

Not just to those around you, but to yourself, and to the One who created you.
