💧 The Story of the Well of Rome: An Endless Charity

In Medina, near the Prophet’s Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a well called the Well of Ruma.
The water there was fresh, but it belonged to a Jewish man who sold it to people. Muslims at the time were in dire need of water, so some of them complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Whoever buys the Well of Ruma and puts his bucket in it with the buckets of the Muslims will receive something better than it in Paradise.”

🕌 The Position of Our Master Uthman

When our Master Uthman (may God be pleased with him) heard about it, he bought it with his own money and donated it to the Muslims.

From that day on, this well became a waqf (endowment) for God… Anyone who drinks from it or benefits from its water will receive a reward in Uthman’s scales.

What’s even more amazing is that this well exists to this day, and its water is still fresh. In fact, the Saudi government has established an agricultural project around it, and its profits go as an ongoing charity in the name of Uthman (may God be pleased with him).

🌸 The Message for Us

This story is not just history… it is Lesson:

One good deed can last for centuries.

Simplicity of intention and generosity ensures that the reward continues until the Day of Judgment.

Modesty and modesty are not just in clothing, but in every choice that draws us closer to our Lord.

Just as our master Uthman chose to devote his wealth to the cause of God, we too can choose our clothing and lifestyle to please God.
And with his example, the choice is always easier…practical, modest, and comfortable from the inside out.

✅ Conclusion

The Well of Ruma is not just a well of water…it is a symbol of ongoing charity, the effect of which lasts forever.
And in our small lives, we can choose things that continue to have rewards, even if they are simple.
